Ami Sands Brodoff is an award-winning novelist, short story author, and reviewer.
Her latest novel, The White Space Between, centers on a mother and daughter grappling with the impact
and reverberations of the Holocaust. The novel is written in honour and memory of Ami’s lost extended
family.
She is also the author of the story collection, Bloodknots, short-listed for the Re-Lit Award, honouring
the best in Canadian books from the independent publishers. This risky and powerful collection centers on orphans,
strays, and characters who have lost or been cut off from family and must find it where they may. Many of the
stories in the volume have won prizes, been anthologized, and are being taught at colleges.
Ami’s debut novel, Can You See Me? is a recommended choice of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill

Pushcart Prize.
